BluFire Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis
The BluFire BA90 uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis. This technology sends a completely safe, low-level electrical signal through the body. It is difficult for the signal to flow through fat in the human body, but easy to flow through moisture in the muscle and other body tissues. The difficulty with which a signal flows through a substance is called impedance.
The more impedance the signal encounters, the higher the body fat reading.
How to Use
The BluFire BA90 has built-in memory that saves two users' personal data. The first time you use the BA90, enter your age, sex, and height.
After this one-time setup, tap the on/off key with your toe and step on the scale. Make sure that you have removed socks and shoes prior to testing. After you step on the scale, your body weight will be displayed.
Remain standing on the scale for 10 seconds, and your body-fat percentage will be tested and displayed on the LCD display.
The display will alternate between your personal data, your weight, and your body fat percentage. When finished, simply step off the scale. The BluFire BA90 will automatically power off.
